The F.J. Hakimian collection of antique Persian rugs is one of the finest Persian rugs ever assembled and represents most of the important Persian rug carpets from around the world. Among the unique antique Persian pieces in our collection are outstanding carpets such as the Doroksh, Faraghan, Sarouk, Heriz, and Malayer of exceptional quality. Commissioned by the Anglo-Swiss firm of Ziegler & Company. Provenance; 2nd Viscount Camrose, Hackwood Park. The ivory field with an overall design of angular floral vines with palmettes & bold cusped serrated leaves in a bottle green border of palmettes & angular floral vine between shaded pink, ivory & mustard yellow meandering palmette vine stripes.
The ivory field with angular vine around a large pale cream panel with pendants containing two bold palmettes issuing angular flowering vine & serrated leaves, in a shaded medium blue border of reciprocal skittle-pattern half palmettes containing minor motifs between floral meander stripes, plain outer ivory stripe.
